Discover here an answer to the frequently asked questions about the Mia Four, the innovative QuadBoard with four-wheel drive.
Yes, up to 25 km/h in Belgium (category: motorized personal mobility device, without a seat). Devices that are capable of exceeding 25 km/h are not permitted on public roads.
What if a seat is installed?
If the seat height is > 54 cm, the vehicle falls under EU Regulation 168/2013 and is subject to moped regulations (Class A or B: registration, insurance, helmet, and for Class B also a driving licence).
The minimum age on public roads is 16 years.
We provide CE marking, an EC Declaration of Conformity, and a Dutch user manual with full safety information.

The Mia Four is designed in such a way that it has achieved the highest available rating and can therefore be considered waterproof. Driving through puddles is, in other words, not a problem, but we recommend avoiding it and also storing the Mia Four dry when not in use.
Standard, so without options, the Mia Four weighs approximately 50 kg.
The Mia Four can carry 130 kg.
You can request this through our configurator.
When the Mia Four is folded, it can be stored in most cars. If the trunk is still insufficient, the Mia Four can easily be stored with a carrier rack on the tow hitch.
Different rules may apply and may vary depending on local regulations:
If the Mia Four is limited to a maximum speed of 15 km/h, no helmet is required (use as a mobility scooter).
If the Mia Four is limited to a maximum speed of 25 km/h, no helmet is required.
If the Mia Four is limited to a maximum speed of 45 km/h, wearing a helmet is mandatory. WARNING: private use and off-road terrain only.
For use on private property and/or off-road terrain, none of the above rules apply; however, we strongly recommend always wearing a helmet.
This is only allowed if the Mia Four is used as a mobility scooter and thus limited to a maximum speed of 15 km/h. For use on private property and/or off-road trails, none of the above rules apply.
This entirely depends on local regulations.
A driver’s license A1, A2, A, or B is required when using the Mia Four on public roads at speeds up to 45 km/h. This is only possible once it has a certificate of conformity (COC certificate). This is expected by the end of 2026.
If the Mia Four is limited to 25 km/h, a household liability insurance (BA familiale) is sufficient. If the Mia Four is limited to 45 km/h, a car liability insurance (BA-auto) is required; comprehensive insurance (omnium/all-risk) is also possible.
Legal speed limit in Belgium
Quadboards without saddles are allowed to travel on public roads at a maximum speed of 25 mph.
Models/settings that can go faster are prohibited on public roads (private property/off-road only).
